Some Simple Home Remedies That Treat Acne
Acne which is a skin disorder most common in teenagers at puberty when the hormones are starting to develop. Acne which is often the blight of adolescence years is known to follow some people into adulthood. Eating a healthy diet can be an an Acne cure for many people but it is definitely a natural Acne treatment for everyone. Home remedies are among some of the best treatments for acne. Prescription Acne medication can scar if not used appropriately.
When it comes to wearing makeup the natural look is always refreshing. Cosmetics products with sulfates, harsh red dyes, heavy oils are hard on the skin blocking the pores and contributing to an outbreak. Cleansing creams with chlorides, oils and alcohol used to as a treatment for Acne can be damaging to the skin because they are to harsh. It is very important to read the labels carefully before purchasing these products to see just what you are using. Also cleansing your face at least 3 times a day so that there is no opportunity for pore blockage is one of the best remedies for keeping our breaks to a minimum.
There are several natural, home remedies for Acne that you either have in your own kitchen or you can get them from the health food store rather inexpensively. Just because these home remedy are considered natural treatments for Acne, does not mean that you should be less cautious than you would be with prescription Acne medications or or over the counter Acne products. You should always check with a doctor before undertaking any home remedy. Some of home remedy for acne turn out to be the best treatments for Acne in the end simply because they are not as hard on the skin. Natural acne treatments or home remedies used to treat Acne should not only take care of any Acne problems that you are having preventing pore blockage but also should moisten and rejuvenates your skin as well.
GARLIC: Garlic is one of natures strongest antibiotic and if you bruise a clove of garlic and rub it on the problem area only. People told me that it did not burn but it did. What did work better for me was to crush the garlic clove in pour a half cup of hot water in a pan. Soak a clean wash cloth in the solution and then apply to the affected areas only. This should within a few days unclog infected pores. It is smelly and should be done before bed then you can wash it off the next morning.
LEMON: There are several things that you can do with fresh lemon. Slice a lemon in half and rub it on the effected area and leave it over night and rinse your face in the morning or squeeze the juice and mix it with rose water and apply to the effected areas.
TEATREE OIL: Teatree oil usually cost about $9-$12 for an 8 to 12 oz bottle and it works wonders on the skin leaving a very refreshing feeling behind because you can actually feel it working cleaning the pores of your skin. I recommend that you dilute it with water first before attempting to use it at full strength. The idea is to cleanse and rejuvenate the skin and anything that leaves extreme discomfort is not good for your skin.
CUCUMBER: This is one of the most gentle and refreshing treatments that I have ever used and not only does it help treat acne but also refreshes the skin and leave your skin looking and feeling younger. What you should do is blend the cucumber into a paste and apply. You can leave it on the skin for 30 to 45 minutes and then wash it off.
ICE: One of the most simple and the least expensive of all is good old fashion ice that you make daily. You can use this at any time and it would take down any swelling that you have caused by Acne but should be used at the onset of a breakout.
There are so many home remedies that I could not even begin to list them all and since everyones skin is different you will have to find which one works well for you. It is important to know to be careful with your skin. Many times out of aggravation we burst a pimple when a simple remedy can be the best solution, and most often not leave a blemish like poking at a pimple normally does. Your skin is an indication of your health and when you have healthy skin then you are a more confident person.

7 Tips To Get The Best Results From Your Acne Treatment
Looking after your skin properly plays an important role in treating acne. By following these 7 skin care tips, you will help improve your treatment results:
Wash your face gently with a mild cleanser and pat it dry with a soft cotton face cloth - Do this morning and night. Do not scrub your face, research has shown that vigorous scrubbing can irritate your acne and make things worse - Remember, acne is NOT caused by poor hygiene. The best way to improve your acne is choosing the right acne products for you and good skin care.
Always apply your acne medication as directed and make sure you give the products enough time to do their job. Generally speaking it takes 4 to 6 weeks before you will start to see a significant improvement, although you should start to see signs of slight improvement earlier, after the first couple of weeks or so. If you are unsure, always ask your doctor or pharmacist how long a product needs to start working - don't give up!
Moisturize - some acne medications can cause the skin to become flaky and dry. If that is happening to you, ask your pharmacist for a noncomedogenic moisturizer (If you just ask for a moisturizer that doesn't clog pores they will know what you mean). Noncomedogenic moisturizers don't clog your pores so are safe to use if you have acne - in fact any hair, makeup, toiletries or sunscreen products you use should always be noncomedogenic.
There is no 'One size fits all' magic cure for acne. If you are not getting results from your current after the right amount of time, don't be afraid to ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice on another product - I know acne medication can be expensive, but what works for one person might not work for you!
Try to resist the urge to pop, squeeze or pick your acne spots, this can, and usually will, make acne worse. Let your medication do this work for you, when you find the right treatment it will reduce the spots and remove the temptation - trust me, you will be glad you did! The one area where you might need some assistance is with blackhead removal. If these don't clear up, it is recommended that removal is carried out by an experienced health care professional.
Try to avoid too much exposure to sunlight, including the use of sun lamps and tanning booths. Despite what many people think, in the long-term, tanning does not get rid of acne. In the short-term your acne may be less noticeable, but only because the sun reddens your skin and the acne will blend in more.
Be persistent - acne is a chronic condition that can be very stubborn to treat. Have realistic expectations of how long your medication will take to work, and when you find a treatment that works, make sure you keep applying it even after your acne is gone (If you are advised to) that way your acne will stay away FOREVER!
If after following these tips your acne is not improving, make an appointment to see a dermatologist. Almost every case of acne can be treated effectively and cleared - don't give up!.

No More Acne Get Rid Of Your Acne Problems
Preventative products are formulated to treat the skin in an effort to control the occurrence of acne; this sector deals with skin creams, lotions and cleansers that can help stop the problem. Many people use products similar to this every day as part of their skin care regime; there use is not just confined to individuals who are suffer with the complaint. Some of these products are designed to act like an acne skin care product and act against the causes of this complaint; devised primarily to limit the amount of oil or sebum forming in the pores. These skin care products are designed to prevent this from happening.
Other skin care treatments can help exfoliate the skin; most can even be purchased over the Internet in addition to normal outlets. These work towards removing dead skin cells, reducing the possibility of pore-clogging and bacteria development. There is a huge market for these types of acne skin care products as they don't require a consultation with a dermatologist. A bacterium that aids the formation of acne is stopped by creams and cleansers that contain benzoyl peroxide and salicylic acid; they work by removing the excess oil from the skin and halt the growth of acne.
Generally it is best to start using this type of product with only a small amount of benzoyl peroxide (less than 5.5 percent is recommended), just to see how the skin reacts; a safer alternative to benzoyl peroxide is anything containing alpha hydroxy acid. As with any type of zit cream, you may need to try a few acne skin care products until you find one that will suit your skin; if none of them work then you would be advised to contact your skin specialist. Only doctors or skin care specialists can prescribe some medications, including the use of antibiotics and certain ointments.
In some case your doctor may suggest the pustules are drained of harmful contents under local anesthetic; specialists never recommend the sufferer tries this themselves as it can cause permanent skin damage. Your doctor could prescribe a hormone-based treatment to treat your skin problem; hormonal changes are known to cause acne and such skin care treatments often effective. Positive research means that a sufferer does not have to put up with this condition anymore.
